Resendiz [Fusion Portrait] Penasquitos Canyon Preserve

Sometimes, when you mix things together, it brings out the best in the two things that you're mixing. For example, I love eating french fries with ice cream. I think the sweetness of the ice cream brings out the saltiness of the fries and the warmth of the fries accentuates the chill of the ice cream. I would rather eat these two together than apart.

I have discovered the same is true about still photography and videography. I believe these two mediums fused together create something more beautiful than each of them separate. I think the beauty of still images is that it is a moment frozen in time forever but videography is amazing because it captures the in-between moments - a clip of life in motion that could never be replicated.

So why not have both? Malia Moana Photography is now offering fusion portraits! A fusion portrait is still a portrait session. These usually last an hour and a half rather than one hour. I will shoot portraits as usual while also shooting video clips of your family interacting. You will not only get gorgeous portraits to hang on your walls, but you will also receive a keepsake to remember your family in this precious stage of life. The finished product is not only your portrait gallery with high-resolution images but also a 3-5 minute fusion video that compiles your images and video clips to music. I love the result! It is the biggest compliment when my clients refer their family to me and an even bigger compliment when they gift their family a photo session with me. I was so blessed to photograph this beautiful family near Lake Hodges when Robert's sister gifted them a photoshoot. They welcomed their beautiful daughter 6 months ago and she was such a doll! I loved her big, brilliant eyes and her multitude of facial expressions made our shoot so much fun. I'm still loving shooting film and when I got my scans back from this session, I literally died. I just can't express enough how wonderful film is!

The gorgeous scenery at the Santa Rosa Plateau in Murrieta, CA was a visual candy shop for me and I had so much fun photographing this mother and son there. It was my third roll shot on my new Mamiya 645 Pro TL and I couldn't have been happier with the results!
